We are so excited to be the official charity partner of the Brighton Half Marathon Youth Race 2026!

The Youth Race is the perfect chance for anyone aged 7-17 to experience the buzz of race day. Open to all abilities, participants will run one mile along Hove Prom and receive a well earned medal and goody bag when they finish.

Why run for Rockinghorse?

We’re asking our Rockinghorse runners to try and raise £50 to help sick babies and children across Sussex. This could pay for a Medibear, a special teddy bear that has the equipment and medical needs of a child with cancer.

These help small children, their siblings and their families understand what is happening to them and learn about their condition and treatment.

Race day info

Participants will pick up their race packs (including their free t-shirt) on the day of the event from race HQ on Hove Lawns.

There will be seven races on the day covering different categories, taking places between 1pm and 4pm (participants will receive a race guide and detailed timings via email prior to race day).

What you’ll get as part of Team Rockinghorse:

  • Support from start to finish from our Supporter Engagement Manager, Emma
  • Any help you need with fundraising
  • A Rockinghorse cheer point on the day
  • Cheering materials for any supporters that come to cheer you on the day

If you already bought your place through the Brighton Half Marathon Youth Race organisers we would love to welcome you to the team as an own place runner! You’ll get the same amazing experience as our charity place runners, but you’ll have no set fundraising target and whatever you can raise would be massively appreciated.
