We are looking for a Corporate volunteer to help support our corporate fundraising.
Job description
- Post Title: Corporate Volunteer
- Responsible to: Head of Partnerships
- Purpose of Job: To support the Corporate income line across admin, fundraising, marketing and project management.
- Location: Rockinghorse Children’s Charity is based in central Brighton. Our work is across Sussex.
- Contract: Part time (hours negotiable). Unpaid

About the role
Rockinghorse Children’s Charity is seeking volunteers to support our Corporate income line. Throughout the year Rockinghorse attract new Corporate Supporters and we need help to record all their information.
We also need to regularly thank our Corporate Supporters, sending out certificates, gifts and thank you letters. We are looking for someone who can help research companies in the area that have the potential to support Rockinghorse.
To attend Events often run by local businesses, as well as our own Rockinghorse golf days, quizzes, beach cleans and much more that attract local companies. At these events it’s all hands on deck!
Duties of the role
Admin support
- Recording Corporate information on our database.
- Writing and sending thank you cards and gifts to our Corporate supporters.
- Putting together a list of email contacts for Corporates who have attended events in Sussex.
Fundraising
- Helping to coordinate Christmas present and Easter Egg donations from Corporate supporters.
- Sourcing raffle and auction prizes from local businesses.
- Attending Corporate fundraising events on behalf of Rockinghorse.
- Researching for new potential Corporate supporters and Charity of the Year partnerships.
Project and marketing
- Researching new Corporates to match areas where we are funding projects.
- Collating specific Corporate lists that would match certain projects or challenge events.
- Helping with campaigns, such as ‘Cuppa for Kids’ posters to be sent to coffee shops in Sussex.


Person Specification
Essential:
- Good people and communication skills.
- Able to work using your own initiative.
- Able to be a team member.
- Happy to work indoors or outdoors (depending on the event).
- Keen to learn about or make use of skills in events management and support.
- Commitment to Rockinghorse Children’s Charity’s purpose and work
