About this role

Christmas is an incredibly busy time for the Rockinghorse team and you will be providing valuable support to our small team. Spending time in hospital over Christmas isn’t fun for anyone, but it’s even worse for children, or their families – not being able to enjoy the excitement of seeing Father Christmas or being able to share Christmas dinner together.

But Rockinghorse make sure that’s not the case. We deliver advent calendars and gifts to children in hospital, organise Christmas parties (get Santa along of course) and provide Christmas meals to help them feel more at home during their stay in hospital over the festive period.

This role is voluntary and unpaid, although reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. Full training will be given and this is a great way to expand your knowledge of the charity sector and develop new skills.

  • Answering phone calls and responding to Christmas related enquiries.
  • Updating Excel spreadsheets.
  • Updating our supporter database – training will be provided.
