Last year, we delivered 65 projects across 13 services, impacting over 190,000 babies, children, young people and families.

We are a trusted philanthropy partner

Established in 1967, Rockinghorse is one of Sussex’s longest-serving charities.

Today, Rockinghorse supports clinicians to deliver innovations that cannot be achieved through the NHS. We have a strong reputation as an ambitious, dynamic and effective partner for clinicians across Sussex.

Although Rockinghorse is completely independent of the NHS, our CEO and team work closely with NHS Trust leadership teams and our committed group of front-line Champions, all doctors and nurses working in the children’s hospitals and wards we support. We are closely connected to what is needed on the ground and have the networks within the NHS to push things forward and make innovative projects happen.

Our impact extends beyond Sussex. As a founding member of the Children’s Hospital Charities Network, we share our experience, expertise and best practice with charities supporting children’s hospitals across the UK.
