Family Woodland Sessions
Family Woodland Sessions
We are funding some Family Woodland Wellbeing sessions for young people, and their families, who are receiving support from the Brighton and Hove Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAHMS) Learning Disability Service.
These sessions are aimed at helping to bring families together in nature to learn new skills and meet others with similar experiences. The sessions also help to build wellbeing, focus on ways to help children better manage their symptoms and give them a fun day out that helps build their confidence.
The sessions will take place at the wilderness site in Stanmer Park in Brighton and will involve playing games, building dens and learning how to light fires using steels – all surrounded by and involving nature.
Many thanks to Little Lives for funding this project.
