Child Development Centre Toys

The Child Development Centre in Hayward Heath supports the assessment and treatment of children with a wide range of developmental and special needs.

Toys are an essential part of the assessment process for staff at the centre but the four clinical rooms were badly in need of a range of new things to distract the children.

Visiting the centre can also be anxiety inducing and stressful for children but having a range of toys and games help the staff and children have a more pleasurable experience and clearer outcomes.

It’s also important to have some more appropriate activities like tablets with appropriate games for older children. This means that while their parents are talking to the clinicians, they are able to have something to distract them in the waiting area.
