Four new buzzy bee devices will be an additional distraction tool for the nursing staff in the Emergency Department at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.

These amazing little bits of kit help to distract children when having painful procedures such as cannulations and injections by using vibration and ice packs to provide alternative distraction and instantaneous pain relief.

These work much quicker than traditional numbing creams which can take 45 minutes to be effective.

This means that a visit to hospital can make young patients much less anxious and less stressful.
