Pawtraits for Rockinghorse
A Sussex Primary Schools Drawing Challenge, in partnership with vet, Dr Marc Abraham OBE
Welcome to Pawtraits for Rockinghorse.
Pawtraits is our brand-new competition for children aged 4-11 to design their own imaginative take on a special animal.
Our aim with this competition is to fundraise for our Pets as Therapy sessions at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. These visits bring specially trained therapy animals to the bedsides of seriously ill children, offering comfort and calm during hospital stays.
Enter your Pawtrait below.
How it works
Children can pick one of three categories below and bring their idea to life using the Pawtraits entry form. If you don’t already have a form – click here for a downloadable copy.
Categories:
- Draw your own pet – Your own animal friend, if you have one
- A fictional animal – A brand-new creature that’s never existed
- A super animal – An animal with an amazing superpower!
Entering the competition is simple. Just complete the form below, upload a photo of your child’s amazing animal Pawtrait (keeping original safe), then make a small donation to Rockinghorse and complete your entry by 31 October – it only takes a few minutes.
You could be a WINNER!
One winner and runner up will be selected from each of the three categories. Prizes will be awarded at the charity’s discretion, and the overall winner will see their Pawtrait turned into a soft toy – a bit like our very own Rocky, pictured above! Winning entries will be displayed at an awards ceremony in October (details to follow).
Before you enter
By submitting an entry, you confirm you’re the parent or guardian of the child involved (or have their permission to enter on their behalf) and agree to our Terms and Conditions. Please note: only your child’s first name is ever used publicly — surnames are for our records only and will never be shared.
And don’t forget to keep your original drawing safe!
