If you have a Harry Potter fan in your family, they will definitely want to get their hands on a beautiful scale model of Hogwarts by entering this new competition.

Hogwarts model from The Noble Collection

The competition is being run by Oliver’s, the award-winning Harry Potter-themed toy and gift shop in Brighton. Oliver’s looks like it has been plucked straight from Diagon Alley but is actually situated on Trafalgar Street in the North Laine so you can’t miss it when visiting.

In the shop you can get your hands on a great range of Harry Potter items such as chocolate frogs and magical wands, you can even try the famous Butter Beer!

During the coronavirus pandemic, owner Oliver has had to change the way he runs the store, offering 30-minute private shopping appointments. This means that shoppers get a full VIP treatment and have the time to chat to the magical staff who are experts on all things Harry Potter and the Wizarding World.

Since the shop opened just over three years ago, Oliver’s has raised over £3,000 for a range of charities through events such as a skydive and charity raffles. This fundraising is greatly helped by the shop’s 40,000 social media followers.

This new charity raffle is supporting Rockinghorse and is offering the prize of this wonderful scale model of Hogwarts school. The model, created by The Noble Collection, is a greatly detailed version of the magical school measuring 28 x 31 x 33cm.

Oliver explained why he decided to work with the charity: “I chose to support Rockinghorse as I have so many families visit my shop with young witches and wizards and I believe every young magical person deserves to have a chance in life.”

Corporate Fundraising Manager for Rockinghorse, Janella Merritt, thinks this is a great opportunity for people to support the charity: “There are so many Harry Potter fans out there that I’m sure this competition will be really popular! It’s also great to work with Oliver as his shop is an absolute treasure trove of collectables.

“Support like this from local businesses is invaluable to us as it enables us to link in with a whole new audience and let them know about the vital work we do in the local community. We completely understand that not all businesses are in the position to be able to support charities at the moment, which is why we are so grateful to those that can help us, like Oliver’s.”
