We’re a Sussex Digital Awards finalist!
We have been selected as a finalist in the first annual Sussex Digital Awards.
The awards were launched in 2016 to celebrate the online achievements of businesses, charities and schools from across Brighton, East Sussex and West Sussex. Rockinghorse has received a nomination in the category for best Website: School, Education or Charity, alongside six other nominees.
Winners will be announced at a presentation evening on Thursday 13 April at Pelham House in Lewes, hosted by former BBC broadcaster Robin Bailey. Contenders in each of the 13 categories are now in with a chance of claiming Gold, Silver and Bronze awards at the ceremony.
We unveiled a fully responsive website in November 2015, designed by Judd Associates (who recently merged with Michael Bell, based in Lewes). The site was created ahead of our 50th anniversary celebrations this year, to facilitate a better user experience.
Ryan Heal, Chief Executive of Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, said: “We are delighted to receive a nomination in the first-ever Sussex Digital Awards. This acknowledgement transcends our sector and recognises our efforts beyond fundraising and how we conduct ourselves as an effective operation.
“Following six months of hard work, led by our PR & Communications Manager Cheryl Piper, we are very proud of the new Rockinghorse website which replaced an old and outdated version that had been in use for over seven years. We have our fingers and toes crossed ahead of the awards ceremony!”
Cheryl Piper, PR & Communications Manager at Rockinghorse, added: “We worked with Judd Associates to create a fresh and fully responsive site that is easy to navigate and visually exciting. The design perfectly reflects the charity and we hope our supporters are finding the website a useful and informative resource. It really does encompass who we are and what we do.”
