Thousands raised from collection tins in 2017

We raised thousands of pounds from collection tins in 2017, thanks to the support of businesses across Sussex.

Shops, café’s, restaurants, pubs, and offices across the county have collectively raised an incredible £8,355.27 by displaying a Rockinghorse charity tin in their premises, where donations can be made.

Best known as the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, we recently celebrated our 50th anniversary. Over £500,000 was raised last year through the ‘Sussex Giving for Sussex Children’ appeal, to support 10 projects at children’s centres and paediatric services across the county.

Ryan Heal, Rockinghorse Chief Executive, said: “By displaying a collection tin, supporters can help us to raise vital funds and awareness of our work. As proven by the fantastic amount raised from our collection tins last year, every penny really does count! Thank you to each and every business who have helped us make a difference to the lives of sick children in Sussex.”

We’re appealing to businesses who would like to support us by displaying a charity collection tin in 2018. To request yours, call 01273 330044 or email
