Stewart Holland and his team at the Rockinghorse Golf Day
Golf lovers from around Sussex helped to raise £5,600 at the Rockinghorse Annual Golf Day.
Fifty-six eager golfers, making up 14 teams, attended the Rockinghorse Annual Golf Day at the Mid Sussex Golf Club in Ditchling on 29 September.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of the South Downs, the Mid Sussex Golf Club proved to be a fantastic venue for the teams to enjoy 18 holes of golf followed by a delicious lunch. Thanks to a range of fundraising throughout the day, including nearest to the pin, beat the pro, goodie bags, a raffle and an auction, the event raised thousands of pounds which will help fund ongoing projects and services across Sussex.
The winners for the second year running were Synchronicity, winning our Rockinghorse trophy that was kindly provided by James Ross Jewellers.

The winning team from Synchronicity with Donna Holland, CEO of Rockinghorse, and Toby Graves from TPG

Hole sponsors included FRP

The hole sponsors were FRP, SBT, Compass Travel, Spiritfilled, James Ross Jewellers and Birchwood Cars.
Toby Graves from TPG Sports Events helped to run the day and we really appreciated the help from our fabulous volunteers, Angela and Eve.
A perfect day for golf

Amanda Hetherington, Corporate Engagement Manager at Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, was delighted with how the day went. She said ‘Thank you to the sponsors on the day, all of the staff at Mid Sussex Golf Club (especially Lee and Mike) and Toby Graves who helped the day happen and run so smoothly.
The sun came out for us, and it was a perfect day for golf. We are so pleased that the day raised an incredible £5,600, which will be able to help the babies, children, and young people across Sussex who we support in different ways.’
