The prestigious Sussex Business Awards, taking place at The Grand in Brighton this week, are supporting Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.

The Sussex Business Awards are the most sought-after accolade by organisations from every sector in the county. Produced by Platinum Media Group, the sell-out event aims to celebrate the Sussex business community, acknowledge the incredible people we have in the county and support a local charity during the event itself.

This year’s ceremony, hosted by Natasha Kaplinsky, is sure to be a great evening with awards being given in a range of areas including Best Customer Service, Businessperson of the Year and Young Achiever of the Year.

Along with winning awards, attendees can win some incredible prizes and raise money for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.

These include the chance to have a unique, bespoke suit made for the winner by Gresham Blake, the Brighton celebrity tailor, and an amazing VIP Corporate box for ten at Brighton and Hove Albion football club, generously donated by Sodexo Live!

Sodexo Live! are the award-winning contract caterers supplying both matchday and non-matchday events at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.

Lauren Bartlett, Sales Manager at Sodexo – Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club explained why they wanted to support the event: “As we are the caterers for an iconic venue within the local community, being able to provide support to such a passionate local charity like Rockinghorse fills us with pride.

All the hard work they do supporting sick and disabled children across Sussex, is imperative and truly incredible! We are honoured to be able to donate to such a worthy and inspiring cause.”

Rockinghorse CEO Donna Holland will be attending the awards and speaking to the nominees about the work that the charity does in the local community, including supporting Children spending time in hospital over the Christmas period.

Donna said: “Christmas is an especially busy time for us. Spending time in hospital over Christmas isn’t fun for anyone, but it’s even worse for children, and their families. At Rockinghorse, we support all children and their families.

On top of our usual services, activities and projects, in December, we deliver advent calendars and gifts to children in hospital, we put on Christmas parties and festive activities, we bring Santa, donkeys, reindeer and dogs to the hospitals, we deliver Christmas meals and hampers to families on Christmas day.

It’s thanks to generous supporters such as Sodexo and Gresham Blake that enable us to do what we do. Without people supporting us we couldn’t bring Christmas to all the children in hospital this year”.

We wish all the finalists the best of luck in their categories and we’re sure the event will be a great way to celebrate all the great work being done by businesses across Sussex.
