Modern calligrapher and illustrator Amy Goble has created a range of stunning Christmas cards from her studio in Shoreham.
Amy’s Christmas cards, which include a 10% donation to Rockinghorse, feature beautiful illustrations of some of Brighton’s best-known landmarks like the Pavilion, Palace Pier and the bandstand on Hove seafront along with Amy’s exquisite hand-lettered calligraphy.
Amy started her own business, the Amyverse, in 2018 and along with creating greetings cards, she also offers a bespoke wedding stationery service for couples tying the knot.
And the whole process is a real joy for Amy who has loved creating ever since she was a child: “I have drawn for as long as I can remember so being able to include personal illustrations in my stationery is something I love.”
The talented artist chose to support the charity after seeing their call for support on social media: “I chose Rockinghorse as I saw a post on Instagram about their funding taking a severe hit and I wanted to do something to help.
“I thought my Christmas cards would be a great way to fund raise and encourage people to stay connected at this difficult time. I understand the difficulties the charity sector is facing when demand and pressures for services are increasing.
“I also really wanted to work with a local charity, especially for my Brighton illustration cards. I felt it was important that they cards were giving back to a local organisation; the work that Rockinghorse do is so important and vital for the children and their families.”
