Spooktacular fun and fundraising

Supporters enjoyed some spooky fun and fundraising yesterday evening (Thursday 26 October) at our annual Halloween quiz night.

Brighton Palace Pier’s Palm Court Restaurant was transformed into a Halloween haunt for 130 guests who took part in the evening’s activities. They were treated to a fish and chip supper before taking part in six rounds of quiz trivia – including the much-loved team karaoke round where participants can score bonus points.

19 teams from local businesses in and around Brighton and Hove took part with the team ‘Close Encounters of the Upteenth Time’ from Close Brothers Invoice Finance, being crowned winner of the Rockinghorse Halloween Quiz 2017 (pictured below). ‘Scream Queens’ and ‘Squad Ghouls’, both teams from Searches UK, were announced joint winners of the best fancy-dress competition (pictured above).

£4,300 was raised during the evening thanks to a ‘lucky dip’ game and charity raffle. Event organiser, Hannah Seltzer from Rockinghorse, said: “Once again our Halloween quiz attendees have been very generous, and we are delighted to have raised £4,300 from the event. Our thanks to all the guests who joined us, and of course to those businesses and individuals who donated prizes and decorations for the event.”

A BIG thank you from all of us here at Rockinghorse to some very special people and companies, including: Searches UK, Close Brothers Invoice Finance, The Grand Hotel, CVR Global, MW Solicitors, Cardens Accountants, Brighton Harbour Hotel, Coast to Coast Direct, Rivervale Leasing, Mailserve, Sian Standing and Friends, Metro Bank, The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, Antonio Almonacid and Family, Hilton Brighton Metropole, Funbags Party Shop, Morrisons Brighton, Tesco Store Hove, QuizHost UK, Jo Foster Facepainting, Brighton Palace Pier, and Jenkins Fruit & Veg.
