Following a fruitful first collaboration in February featuring gold medallist Sally Gunnell OBE, we organised a second Wellbeing in the Workplace event with Olympic silver medallist and life coach Leon Taylor as guest speaker.
Guests arrived at the i360 events space on Hove seafront at 8am for networking, coffee and flapjacks, before being welcomed by Rockinghorse CEO Donna Holland.
The event then kicked off with a speech from Leon in which he shared his insights into nurturing talent and potential in the pursuit of success and longevity, helpful skills that are easily transferable into the workplace.
He also spoke from his breadth of knowledge and experience both as an Olympian, and as a high-performance mentor with a passion for long-term mental wellness, including supporting Tom Daley in his inspirational achievement of four Olympic medals.

Following a short break, the panel discussion began with member including Emma Cleary from Flexibility Matters, James Shillaker from Epassi, Alison Daymond from Adastra HR, Alex Bailey from Bailey and French and Lawrence Howard from Thriiver.
The panel were asked a range of questions, starting with why wellbeing was important to them and their businesses, and then had the chance to further explain their experiences of supporting their employees and clients with wellbeing in a variety of different business environments.
After another short break, Nicola Harvey, an Advanced EFT Practitioner & Trainer, ran a great session using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or “tapping” as you may know it, a form of somatic psychology and talk therapy, used to support emotional health and mental wellbeing of children and adults.

Then everyone chose a table to join, each hosted by a table host, and enjoyed some further group discussions on a range of different wellbeing topics. Along with the panel members, other table hosts included Harvey Heals, Inspire You Wellbeing, Michelle Flynn Coaching and Little Jasmine Therapies and Spa who offered five-minute therapeutic massage sessions for attendees.
The discussions were varied and interesting, with a wide range of experiences and ideas shared between the people on each table including the importance of good sleep, positive work culture, and neurodiverse workforces.
At the end of the morning, Donna and Emma thanked everyone for coming to the event and sharing their experiences and ideas, along with thanking all the panellists, table sponsors, the venue and Leon Taylor, for helping to make this another successful Wellbeing in the Workplace event.
