Rockinghorse tins raise thousands in 2018

A big thank you to all the businesses who displayed one of our charity collection tins in 2018…

Last year alone, £4,574 was raised from the tins which are displayed in shops, café’s, restaurants, pubs and offices across Sussex. The collection tins allow people to dispense of their loose change, with donations helping to make a difference to the lives of sick and disadvantaged children in the county.

Hollie Trezise, Schools and Community Fundraising Manager at Rockinghorse, says: “We are so grateful to everyone who displays one of our collection tins on their premises. All the pennies and loose change donated last year has amounted to over £4,500 which is fantastic!”

Best known as the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton and a vital supporter of the neighbouring Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment whilst ensuring that children are treated in an environment better suited to their needs.

If you own or work for a business that is able to display a collection tin in 2019, then we’d love to hear from you…. We’re also looking for volunteers who are able to donate their time and become a collection tin coordinator. To find out more, call us on 01273 330044 or email hollie@rockinghorse.org.uk.
