Donations raised from the Rockinghorse Lotto have reached an incredible £75,000, thanks to players who take part in the weekly draw.

Launched in 2014, our charity lottery offers all-cash prizes with a jackpot worth up to £5,000. Players can take part for just £2 a week and every penny of profit is used to help us make life better for sick and disadvantaged children in Sussex.

Rockinghorse Lotto Manager, Trevor Watson, joined us for a special cheque presentation at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) in Brighton on Thursday 10 October.

As the official fundraising arm of the Alex, we raise funds for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment and ensure that young people are treated in an environment better suited to their needs.

Trevor says, “Five years on from the Rockinghorse Lotto’s inception, I am absolutely delighted to have reached £75,000 in donations to this wonderful charity. Many of us have been touched by the support Rockinghorse gives to the young people of Sussex, and I too have experienced their work first-hand.”

£1 scratchcards were launched a few years ago and have proved popular with supporters. They are especially popular at Christmas and are available in gift-wrapped packs, perfect as stocking fillers or table presents.

If you’d like to join the Rockinghorse Lotto or wish to purchase gift-wrapped (or un-wrapped) scratchcards, please call Trevor on 01273 495224 or email lottery@rockinghorse.org.uk.
