Pryzm nightclub in Brighton have presented us with a generous donation. The funds will benefit sick children at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) in the city.

On behalf of their owners, the Deltic Group, they have donated a wonderful £7,759.15 to Rockinghorse. Deltic Group set up the Echo Trust back in 2002 and has since raised over £2.5 million. They award grants to local children’s charities, just like us.

The ‘Give a Kid a Quid’ fundraising campaign is rolled out at Deltic’s nightclubs across the country. Their donation will enable us to provide new equipment for the Urology department at the Alex.

As the official fundraising arm of the Alex, we raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment. We also raise funds to provide items and services that create a better environment for young people in hospital.

Jon Saunders, General Manager of Pryzm Brighton was joined by Gemma West, Sales Manager at Pryzm Brighton, for a cheque presentation at the Alex (pictured above). They met with Terrina Barnes from Rockinghorse and Gayle Hernandez-Lopes from the Alex, to understand more about how their donation will make a difference.

Terrina Barnes is the Corporate Fundraising Manager at Rockinghorse. She is delighted to receive another donation from the nightclub and says, “We’ve worked really closely with Pryzm Brighton during the past two years.

“Last year their donation helped us fund ventilators for the High Dependency Unit at the Alex. This year, their donation will purchase specialist equipment for the Urology department. The equipment will help make young patients more comfortable whilst they’re having treatment. It’s a great partnership and long may it continue.”
