On Friday 20 September, Ryan Fenwick held his most recent golf day in aid of Rockinghorse.
This year’s event, at West Hove Golf Club, was an 18-hole team event and included a two-course dinner, prizes for the winners and an auction to help his fundraising.
The event was organised by Ryan with help from his wife, children and family, and kindly sponsored by Lee Pollard from JG & JR Langridge Ltd.
Ryan and his family have first-hand experience of the work that Rockinghorse does, as his two daughters receive treatment at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital. He explained, “Both of our girls Hettie and Elsie have the condition hip dysplasia. They have undergone surgeries at the hospital and will continue to receive treatment in coming years.
“Therefore, it is important for us to support the wonderful work that Rockinghorse Children’s Charity offer. It was a wonderful day, full of fun & prizes and we managed to raise a wonderful £5359.00 for the charity.
“We hope this will make a small difference to their work.”
Amanda Hetherington, Head of Partnerships, Rockinghorse said, “A huge thank you to Ryan, his family and everyone that attended the golf day.
“The money raised will go to support our brand new ‘Wellbeing Service’ at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, which supports children who are dealing with long term illnesses.
“It takes a lot of time, effort and hard work to put on an event like this and we really do appreciate the incredible support, it means such a lot.”
And finally, many congratulations to Dean Coombes, Mick Coombes, Nish Patel, Rab Steele, the winning team on the day!
