As promised Sid Sloane has recorded more stories for us to add to his ‘Storytime with Sid’ videos.

Sid, a Rockinghorse Trustee and CBeebies presenter, thought it would be a great idea to read some stories for younger children to keep them amused while they’re stuck at home along with giving parent’s some down time.

So, along with his first story, Lucy’s Adventures in Narnia, we can now add another great story; The Snow Child, so just scroll down to take a look! And keep an eye out for more stories appearing here regularly.

All these stories form part of our ‘Be a Rockinghorse Hero’ campaign which includes a ‘Rockinghorse Force’ pack with a range of activities and fundraising ideas for younger people while at home.

The Rockinghorse Force.

The Rockinghorse Force centres around building a team of heroes dedicated to making a difference by raising money for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. Four super-powered rockinghorses who lead the teams represent the qualities and characters of the charity.

Within the pack there are four challenges for children to complete which their family and friends can sponsor them to take part in. These challenges include problem solving, helping, making and activity tasks all designed to be both fun and interesting.

You can find out more about the pack and how children can get involved by looking here.

More stories.

Sid will be reading more stories for younger children and these videos will be regularly posted on the Rockinghorse YouTube channel and the website. This is a great opportunity for children to enjoy a story and some quiet time during the day.

For more ideas on how you can continue to help keep our children’s hospital functioning to the high standards we want for our children at this critical time, search Rockinghorse on social media, visit the website or look for the ‘Be a Rockinghorse Hero’ page on Just Giving.
