Thanks to the support of members at Ifield Golf Club, we have received a donation of £3,270.80 towards our 50th year appeal.

Member Steve Tigg chose to support Rockinghorse during his captaincy year in recognition of the help provided by the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital to his eldest daughter, and organised a number of fundraising events throughout 2016, including his Captains Weekend.

Our Schools and Community Fundraiser, Liz McCluskey, was invited to the golf club in Crawley West Sussex for an official cheque presentation with Steve (pictured above) at the end of last month (Wednesday 30 November).

Speaking of the partnership, she said: “Alongside Steve’s busy role as club captain, he has worked tirelessly promoting the work of Rockinghorse around the club whilst raising thousands of pounds for our 50th year appeal. It has been lovely working with Steve and great to be able to thank him for all his hard work when I joined him for a cheque presentation at the golf club.”

We’ve launched the Sussex Giving for Sussex Children 50th year appeal ahead of our golden jubilee in 2017. During this time, we aim to raise £500,000 worth of funding to be split between 10 children’s centres and paediatric services across Sussex.
