goGIRL fun run to raise funds for Rockinghorse

Here come the goGIRLS! A new 5k women-only fun run has announced it will be supporting Rockinghorse at their next event in June.

goGIRL Brighton & Hove is a unique female evening fun run and beach party taking place at Hove Lawns on Friday 15 June at 7.30pm. The 5k is suitable for all abilities and features a flat route along the seafront promenade to Hove Lagoon and back again.

Following the race, participants can enjoy a post-run beach party with live entertainment, food and drink stalls, plus plenty of festival spirit. The 5k may be just for ladies, but the beach party welcomes all friends and family to join in the fun as the sun sets over Brighton and Hove.

goGIRL has chosen Rockinghorse as their charity partner for the event and will be raising money from a bucket collection on the day, as well as encouraging participants to raise funds through sponsorship.

We are best-known as the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) in Brighton and are a vital supporter of the neighbouring Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU). We raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment as well as funding items to ensure children are treated in an environment better suited to their needs.

Hannah Seltzer, Challenge Events Fundraising Manager at Rockinghorse, said: “We’re so pleased to have been chosen as the official charity partner for the goGIRL event in Brighton and we’d like to thank Goldline Events for their support. We’re looking forward to meeting all the participants on the day.”

Judith Manson, CEO of Goldline Events, organisers of goGIRL run, said: “goGIRL are immensely proud to partner with Rockinghorse Children’s Charity this year and we look forward to supporting them. The event promises to be a great evening and we hope to spread the word of the brilliant work which Rockinghorse does year after year and help them raise vital funds.”

Registration for the 5k fun run costs £16.50 (there’s no hidden charges or booking fees!) and we’re asking participants to raise what they can to support our ongoing projects at the Alex and TMBU. To sign up and take part, visit www.gogirlrun.co.uk.
