Thanks to your support, young patients at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) in Brighton were treated to Christmas presents over the festive period. Lots of you got involved in our Dress as an Elf Day in December and helped raise money to make life that little bit better for sick babies, children and teenagers who spent time in the Alex over Christmas, with over £6,000 raised.

Many thanks to everyone who dressed in red and green to get involved in our fourth annual Elf day, including…

Local schools: Bluebells Day Nursery, Busy Bees (in Hove), Downs Infant School, Each Peach Childcare, Hertford Infant and Nursery School, Mile Oak Primary School, Next Step Nursery, Our Lady of Lourdes, Queen’s Park Primary School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, St Marks C.E. School, St Peters Catholic Primary School (in Shoreham), Swiss Gardens Primary School, The Honey Pot Nursery, Uplands Community College and Vinehall Pre-Prep.

Local businesses: Austin Rees (Elf sponsors), Back to Balance, Brighton Racecourse, Brighton Wheel, Cardens Accountants, Crafty Chooks, CSMA Club, Domestic & General, Doosan Babcock, HSBC, ICP Search, Madgex, NHS Brighton & Hove, Nutshell Construction, Oban Digital, Overline, Paladone, Posh Totty Designs, Posture People, Preston Insurance Brokers, Santander (Brighton), Searches UK, Southern Water, Stagecoach South, Sussex Housing, Sutton Winson, The Cricketers Pub, The Grand Brighton, and staff at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.

As well as the funds raised from our Elf event, some local businesses, schools, community groups and individuals organised their own present collections.
