By continuing to support Rockinghorse during this difficult time, you could be a Rockinghorse Hero!
The world is currently going through a health crisis that most of us will never see the like of again. All over the globe health services are working as hard as they can in order to try to keep their communities as safe as possible, and Rockinghorse is no exception.
Dr Oli Rahman, consultant paediatrician at the Alex, has outlined the vital role that Rockinghorse plays for his team; “In light of the current situation facing us within the NHS, please consider the impact of the virus on our beloved Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and the funds raised by Rockinghorse that support us.
“Time and again Rockinghorse has been there in our most difficult periods, providing essential help to our hard-working team, and this situation is no different.
“It’s likely that Rockinghorse funds will be very seriously depleted during this crisis, with many of their fundraising events being cancelled or postponed. However, it’s important to understand that you can still help. Anything you can spare, big or small, will have a direct and incredibly positive impact on the support that the dedicated team at the Royal Alex provide.”
Heroes Assemble!
Now more than ever we need your help. Please help us to keep providing essential support to The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, Trevor Mann Baby Unit and other services for sick children in Sussex.
Anyone can be a Rockinghorse Hero
- Children can download a fundraising activity pack and join the ‘Rockinghorse Force‘. The pack is full of easy fundraising ideas and activities to keep children busy wherever they are.
- Working from home? Why not donate your bus fare petrol money or the money you would have usually spent on your morning coffee?
- Challenge yourself. With marathons and mass participation events being postponed and cancelled across the UK, why not take part in your own fitness challenge around your own community? Whether you join one of our virtual running marathons or take part in a couch to 5k, there are lots of ways to keep yourself busy, active and healthy while raising funds.
- Are you celebrating a birthday or special occasion? Could you ask people to give a financial gift to Rockinghorse in your honor? The money they would have spent buying you a birthday drink or present can soon add up to something really special
However you can help, whatever you can do, anything you raise will make such a difference to our work. Just take a look our Just Giving page to donate and keep an eye on our social media feeds to see how people can #BeaRockinghorseHero.
