We are proud to announce the winners of our Christmas card design competition for 2023.
In November we launched a brand-new Christmas card design competition for our younger supporters to create a brand-new card design for us to put onto an e-card website.
The competition was open to three age categories, under 7s, 7-9s and 10–11-year-olds and entrants could be created digitally or using paper, card, paints or crayons, all that mattered was that it was a colourful, Christmassy design.
After some tense deliberation, the Rockinghorse team chose the following winners for each category:
· Under 7s category: Asha Barnes, aged 4 and a half:
· 7-9 category: Aurelia Arnold, aged 8.
· 10-11 category: Genesis Brown, aged 11.
When we told her she had won, Asha said “I feel good and excited, my favourite thing was doing the cat. I think they really liked my blue light too. I love doing pictures because I like them when I’ve finished them.”
Aurelia said, “I’m so excited and astonished to win! Thank you so much. I entered the competition because I really enjoy art and it was so much fun.”
And Genesis said, “I’m SO excited, thank you. It’s been a wonderful drawing to do, lots of shine! I entered because I hope it makes all children better and happy.”
Congratulations to all the fabulous winners, who will each receive a Rockinghorse goody bag including a hoodie, water bottle and wristband.
And if you would like to send one of these e-cards to your friends and family this year, which will help support Rockinghorse, just head over to the Don’t Send Me a Card website here.
Well done to all the winners!
