We’ve received a £2,000 donation thanks to a Charity Golf Tournament held earlier this year.
Businessman Phil Graves of Graves Jenkins organised the event with Chris Weatherstone of Weatherstone Properties, which was held at East Brighton Golf Club in September.
80 golfers took part in the tournament to raise a total of £10,000 for a number of charities, including Rockinghorse. Our Corporate Fundraiser Simon Gregg, joined Phil Graves and his great niece Tilly for an official cheque presentation at the Donatello’s children’s Christmas party last week (pictured above).
He said: “Huge thanks to Phil Graves, Chris Weatherstone and all the participants of the golf tournament for raising such a fantastic amount. We are extremely grateful to have been chosen as a beneficiary of the event and we are pleased to be able to donate the money towards the purchase of equipment used in the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis.”
As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, here at Rockinghorse we raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment, as well as ensuring that children are treated in an environment better suited to their needs.
We’re celebrating our 50th anniversary next year with the newly launched Sussex Giving for Sussex Children appeal. To find out more, please click here.
