The Dream Centre is a brand new state-of-the-art facility at Chailey Heritage Foundation.

On Thursday 17 October 2019, we attended the opening of The Dream Centre at Chailey Heritage Foundation.

It was an absolute pleasure to join other guests and donors for the much-anticipated launch. The Dream Centre was opened by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, who unveiled a commemorative stone to mark the occasion.

The appeal to raise the £3.1 million needed to build the indoor activity centre, began three-years-ago. In 2017, during our 50th anniversary celebrations, we raised £50,000 towards the appeal for Chailey Heritage Foundation.

The result is a state-of-the-art facility for sport, rebound therapy and the creative arts. It is designed especially for children and young people with complex physical disabilities.

During the opening, we were treated to a performance from the young people at Chailey, aptly titled ‘Cirque du Chailey’. They gave a special performance which showcased the incredible performance area that is now in place.

Chailey Heritage Foundation provides education and care services. It is one of the UK’s leading centres for children and young people with complex neurodisabilities. The cause was founded in 1903 and has since gone on to develop a world-class range of specialist services to meet the needs of disabled young people.

Young people at Chailey held a special performance for guests.

Here at Rockinghorse, we are proud to be an ongoing supporter of the foundation. We seek to support young people with challenging needs in Sussex by funding projects which improve their general wellbeing.

The Dream Centre is a greatly positive addition to the services available at Chailey, and we are very proud to have been able to help make the space a reality.
