Our annual Bonfire Quiz went with a bang last week, with teams competing to win the coveted top spot against some fierce opposition.

Cow Corner, in the 1st Central Cricket Ground, was the venue for this year’s Rockinghorse Bonfire Quiz where 26 teams came together to battle it out to be the victorious.

We were lucky enough to once again have Gareth, our fabulous quizmaster, to put the teams to the test with his amazing questions, with a final music round to get all the teams singing and dancing.

We were delighted that local company Priavo Security sponsored the event and also came along and to join in the fun on the night.

In total there were 177 people taking part, so the atmosphere was really good fun, if a little competitive! And after being challenged throughout all the different rounds, the eventual victors were the wonderful ‘Royal Alex’ team, made up of some of our amazing doctors and nurses from The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.

Thanks to the generosity of local supporters and companies we were able to donate 100% of our raffle ticket sales to support children and families in our local area. A big thank you to Noel Present from Preston Insurance, who donated a bottle of Ridgeview premium wine and 4 tickets to the i360.

Michele, one of the competitors on the night from the Priavo team, said, “Thank you to the fabulous Rockinghorse team for such a fun night! The team thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”

Amanda, Senior Corporate Engagement Manager at Rockinghorse added, “We were so pleased to see such a wonderful turnout for this year’s Bonfire Quiz. It was such a brilliant evening, and we so appreciate everyone’s continued support to help us reach children and their families who need our help throughout Sussex.”

We can’t wait to see everyone again at next year’s quiz – can The Royal Alex hold their winning position, or will your team come out victorious?! Keep an eye out on our website and social channels next autumn for more information.
