Continuing to support Rockinghorse could make all the difference to the vital work of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital during the Coronovirus outbreak.

The world is currently going through a health crisis that most of us will never see the like of again. All over the globe health services are working as hard as they can in order to try to keep their communities as safe as possible, and the UK is no exception.

We all fully understand the pressure that the health services are under at the moment but it’s precisely these kinds of situations that make the work of charities like Rockinghorse even more vital.

As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, we raise funds for vital equipment for the hospital to support sick babies, children and young people throughout Sussex; equipment like the five recently purchased new ventilators to be used in the High Dependency Unit at the Alex, helping treat the hospital’s most poorly patients.

Fundraising for equipment like this is vital to enable us to continue to help us keep our children’s hospital functioning to the high standards we want for our children at this critical time.

As this situation unfolds, we hope you will consider the impact on The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital. Rockinghorse funds will be seriously depleted during this crisis as many of our fundraising events get cancelled and postponed.

Our aim over the coming weeks is to continue to work hard to raise these much-needed funds so keep an eye out on our website and social media channels for ways in which you can help.

And finally, I wanted to finish by saying a personal thank you to all of you who continue to support us. What you do to help is amazing and long may it continue.
