At your school

Schools, nurseries, colleges and universities provide invaluable support to Rockinghorse.

We work closely with our education partners to help make life better for sick children in Sussex through a variety of fundraising initiatives.

If your school, nursery group, college or university would like to find out more about getting involved with Rockinghorse, please call Liz on 01273 330044 or email;

Nominate Rockinghorse as your Charity of the Year

Many schools now choose to nominate a Charity of the Year which allows staff and pupils to focus their fundraising efforts to a particular cause and something that the whole school can contribute towards. During this year, your school can pledge to raise a certain amount of money via a number of fundraising ideas and events.

Get involved in a Rockinghorse event

Throughout the year we host various fundraising events such as our Dress as an Elf annual Christmas dress-down day, perfect for staff and pupils to get involved in. We also have places available in many of our challenge-led events, such as marathons, cycles and treks which many teachers to choose to get involved in. Find out more about our upcoming events by clicking here.

Go for Gold dress-down day

We’re inviting schools to take part in our Go for Gold dress-down day on Friday 26 May. You can support our Sussex Giving for Sussex Children 50th anniversary appeal and make a real difference in 2017.

Liz McCluskey, Schools & Community Fundraising Manager at Rockinghorse, says: “Our Go for Gold dress-down day is a great way for schools to get involved with our charity and help make a real difference. All the money raised from the event will be directly helping to improve the lives of children who need our support.”

Participants are encouraged to wear a gold item to school, or a fun outfit of their choice, and donate £1 towards the appeal in our Golden Jubilee year. To sign-up or find out more, please call Liz on 01273 330044 or email
