If you’re looking for a challenge in 2021, there are lots of Ultra Challenges being organised around the South East. These offer a great way to get fit, have some fun and raise much needed funds for Rockinghorse.

Isle of Wight Challenge, 1– 2 May 2021
Great challenges need great settings, and none are better than the Island’s coastal path. Two thousand adventurers will take on the Isle of Wight in May 2021 and go all out to push themselves further.
It’s along the spectacular southern cliffs, past the iconic Needles and up to historic Cowes at the half way stop. For Full Island challengers it’s on to historic Ventnor, and back to our welcome Base Camp in Chale after an epic 106km journey. You’ll get full support and hospitality all the way, and with half and quarter island options also-there’s an Isle of Wight Challenge for everyone!

London 2 Brighton Challenge, 29 – 30 May 2021
Two thousand adventurers of all experience levels and ages will take on a classic capital to coast route, testing their grit over the Bank Holiday weekend. Most will walk, but many will jog or run the full 100km, and with half and quarter distance options there’s a challenge for everyone.
A Richmond start by the Thames – then the North Downs and wonderful Surrey and Sussex countryside to halfway at Turners Hill. The 100km route heads up and over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coastline comes in to view.

South Coast Challenge, 4 – 5 September 2021
Take on some of England’s finest scenery as a Walk, Jog, or a Run! An Eastbourne start, up Beachy Head, over the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the famous South Downs Way National Trail with stunning views over the sea to a Brighton mid-point. Devil’s Dyke, welcome rest stops, a few ups & downs all lie ahead before historic Arundel comes into view after an 100km amazing journey.
You will get full support and hospitality all the way from our team – and with half and quarter distance options also – there’s a challenge here for everyone!

Thames Path Challenge, 11 – 12 September 2021:
Take on the Thames Path Challenge following England’s greatest river. Most will walk, many will jog, some will run, and all have special reasons to push themselves.
Our full Thames Path Challenge 100km route heads from Putney Bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede of Magna Carta fame at 50km, then on past wonderful historic scenery all the way to Henley. With half & quarter distance options – there’s a challenge for everyone.
There’s also the ‘Thames Bridges Trek’ – a 25km walk through the heart of London, zig-zagging over 16 famous bridges with the best views of the Capital’s landmarks.
Your challenge will be a test of spirit and determination. You’ll be supported all the way by our team, and rewarded with an amazing sense of achievement.

Thames Bridges trek, 11 September 2021:
Join 2000 trekkers as we venture across the Capital taking in unrivalled views of the skyline from its best vantage points.
Setting out from Putney Bridge – it’s East towards the City, zig-zagging over the array of historic bridges – each with its fascinating story – and a midpoint stop at Kennington Oval for some snacks and drinks.
25km later, it’s a finish line celebration in Southwark past the majestic Tower Bridge. You’ll get full support and hospitality all the way, leaving you to focus on your challenge!
