Brighton Marathon 2019
Date: Sunday 14 April 2019
Location: Preston Park, Brighton
Sponsorship: We ask our participants to aim to raise £450
The second largest marathon in the UK is back and takes place on Sunday 14 April 2019. The popular full marathon in Brighton takes you on a route through the city with fantastic views of the Sussex coast and the route sees runners finish on Madeira Drive in the city centre.
How will we support you?
We will provide you with Rockinghorse fundraising materials including a running vest or t-shirt to help you with your fundraising. On the day there will be a Rockinghorse cheering team along the race route, and our charity runners will also benefit from our exclusive partnership with Reach Physiotherapy in Brighton. Our runners will have the opportunity to take up their offer of a range of free services, which includes a physio, nutrition and running assessment, yoga class and sports massage.
How does the money you raise support us?
Our Brighton Marathon runners raised over £12,000 in 2018 towards our Trevor Mann Baby Unit appeal. By taking part in the Brighton Marathon and supporting Rockinghorse, you can help us ensure that children’s services across Sussex are the best they possibly can be for our children now and in the future.
Throughout the 2019 Marathon season, we’re supporting young people with mental health illnesses in Sussex. We believe in giving opportunities to all young people which is why we’re supporting Chalkhill Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Haywards Heath by funding The Rockinghorse Activities Programme.
