Brighton Half Marathon 2019
Date: Sunday 24 February 2019
Location: Madeira Drive, Brighton
Sponsorship: We ask that our participants aim to raise £250 each
Kick start the 2019 running season with the Brighton Half Marathon and take on 13.1 miles all in the name of charity! The event is one of the first major half’s in the running calendar and now one of the most popular races in the UK. The race starts and finishes along Madeira Drive with a route that is mainly flat, and takes you past all of the fantastic landmarks of Brighton and Hove.
How will we support you?
We will provide you with Rockinghorse fundraising materials including a running vest or t-shirt to help you with your fundraising. On the day there will be a Rockinghorse cheering team along the race route, and our charity runners will also have access to snacks and drinks and a much-needed post-race massage in our charity village tent at the finish.
You will also benefit from our exclusive partnership with Reach Physiotherapy in Brighton; our runners will have the opportunity to take up their offer of a range of free services, which includes a physio, nutrition and running assessment, yoga class and sports massage.
How does the money you raise support us?
Our Brighton Half Marathon runners raised over £20,000 in 2018 for our Trevor Mann Baby Unit appeal. By taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon and supporting Rockinghorse, you can help us ensure that children’s services across Sussex are the best they possibly can be for our children now and in the future.
Throughout the 2019 Marathon season, we’re supporting young people with mental health illnesses in Sussex. We believe in giving opportunities to all young people which is why we’re supporting Chalkhill Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Haywards Heath by funding The Rockinghorse Activities Programme.
