Walk for Wellbeing

Walk for Wellbeing

Date: Thursday 1 January to 31 January 2026
Location: Anywhere!
Registration: Free
Sponsorship: We ask that participants try to raise a minimum of £50 each

Could you walk 31 miles this January and try to raise £50 for Rockinghorse? You’ll be helping us provide a range of wellbeing activities where they are needed the most.

Walk for Wellbeing is our virtual challenge with a big impact. We’re asking our amazing supporters to walk 31 miles throughout January — that’s just one mile a day!

By raising £50, you’ll be helping us support children and young people across Sussex with our Wellbeing Service. Your steps could support activities like pet therapy, woodland wellbeing sessions, and yoga, designed to bring comfort, connection, and calm when it’s needed most.

Whether you stroll along the seafront, do laps of your local park, or clock up the miles on a weekend hike – every step you take supports young lives in Sussex.

Step into something meaningful this January

Join Rockinghorse Children’s Charity’s Walk for Wellbeing and cover 31 miles at your own pace while raising £50 to support children’s mental health and wellbeing across Sussex.

Dr Marc Abraham, Vet and Rockinghorse Ambassador, understands the importance of getting out in the fresh air  for our minds and bodies

“I always try to make some time everyday to get out and enjoy a walk, with a longer South Downs walk on weekends; it makes such a positive difference to both my mental and physical wellbeing.’
Marc Abraham, Rockinghorse Ambassador
