Gastro-intestinal unit
Rockinghorse is proud to
announce that the new Gastro-intestinal (GI) unit at The Royal Alexandra
Children’s Hospital is now fully funded.
The clinical investigation unit, which will be based on level seven at The Alex, will be indispensible for the team who work with children affected by a range of GI conditions and will play a key part in advancing treatment and research in these and related illnesses. As well as directly benefiting the children and young people of Sussex, this unit will establish a national and international reputation for care and clinical research in GI disorders
Thanks to our supporters from across Sussex and a generous grant from the Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust, Rockinghorse was able to raise over £20,000 for this project.
Dr. Assad Butt and Prof. David Candy who are leading on the project, are delighted that they now have the go-ahead to get started and are extremely grateful to all the supporters that have made it possible.
Rockinghorse is hoping to launch the new unit soon so watch this space for an update.
