Chalkhill Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit

Chalkhill Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Haywards Heath is a centre providing inpatient support for children and young people with mental health conditions. The unit opened in April 2009 and has proved a real success.

Rockinghorse provided many of the recreational facilities needed before the unit could open, such as computers, music and sports equipment and even educational resources.

The charity has also provided Chalkhill with a minibus to enable young people to enjoy visits to activities in the community. This has proven to be a valuable part of their recuperation and we now want to extend these by providing a whole series of activities, trips and visits.

To achieve all of the activities identified for the next year, Rockinghorse must raise £10,738.
