Rivervale golf day raises hundreds for Rockinghorse

Leading Brighton motor group, Rivervale, organised a charity golf day last month (Friday 28 July) in aid of Rockinghorse.

Held at Mid Sussex Golf Club in Ditchling, East Sussex, participants played 18 holes of golf and competed for a host of great prizes, including a brand new Ford Fiesta for any player managing to hit a hole in one. Those taking part in the charity event included former football player turned manager, Teddy Sheringham MBE.

The event raised £535 through the sale of raffle tickets and mulligans, for our 50th year appeal; Sussex Giving for Sussex Children. Through the appeal, we aim to raise £500,000 worth of funding to be split between 10 children’s centres and paediatric services across Sussex. Those benefiting include The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, of which we are the official fundraising arm.

Bud Johnston, Marketing Manager at Rivervale, said: “Rivervale are proud to have hosted a second successful annual golf day in partnership with Rockinghorse Children’s Charity and Mid Sussex Golf Club. We look forward to repeating the event again next year!”

Analiese Doctrove, Head of Fundraising at Rockinghorse, added: “We are so grateful to Rivervale for supporting us at their charity golf day again this year – huge thanks to all involved for taking part and raising funds for our 50th year appeal.”
