Posh Totty partnership proves a huge hit

Rockinghorse is celebrating four years since the launch of its charity partnership with Brighton-based jewellers Posh Totty Designs.

The much-loved jewellery and gift company has created a collection inspired by our Rockinghorse logo, and donate 100% of the profits from each item sold to help sick children in Sussex. Following their most recent donation, Posh Totty Designs has raised an incredible £9,610 since 2013.

Lovingly handmade by the Posh Totty team in Brighton, the Rockinghorse charity collection now boasts over 10 items of jewellery, and there really is something for everyone. The jewellery can also be personalised with a name, date or message, making it an ideal gift for a special occasion or loved one.

Since its launch, the collection has caught the eye of a few well-known faces, including TV presenter and local gal Zoe Ball, and former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens, who have both tweeted pictures of their personalised Rockinghorse necklaces. Radio and TV presenter Dermot O’Leary has also shown his support and encouraged his twitter followers to purchase a Rockinghorse necklace for our cause (pictured below).

Now officially worn by royalty, we recently commissioned Posh Totty to create a commemorative Rockinghorse brooch for our new Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra (pictured below). Those wishing to support our 50th year appeal can purchase their very own gold-plated Rockinghorse pin badge, which is also available in silver and can double up as a perfect wedding favour.

Alice River-Cripps, Founder, Creative Director and CEO at Posh Totty Designs, said: “I love working with Rockinghorse as they do so much good work in our community. We have all been touched by their amazing work and after my first son was helped by the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton, I promised that I would help where I could. Over the last four years, Posh Totty has launched some fabulous designs including; necklaces, bracelets, and even cufflinks, and have raised £9,610.

“We were over the moon to be asked by Rockinghorse to make a special brooch for Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra – the charity’s new Royal Patron – who recently visited the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton to celebrate Rockinghorse’s 50th birthday. We created a Rockinghorse design to suit the Princess’ love of large brooches, and suitably set it with a diamond and plated it in 18ct gold. It has been a huge honour and we hope she likes it.”

Louise Bartha, Appeals and Trusts Fundraising Manager at Rockinghorse, said: “We are delighted to receive such wonderful support from Alice and the team at Posh Totty Designs, who have raised a fantastic amount of money since our partnership began in 2013. The jewellery collection created by Posh Totty enables us to raise funds and awareness of our work in such a unique manner and we very much look forward to many more years of working together.”

Posh Totty’s flagship store can be found at 31 Sydney Street in Brighton’s famous North Laines, and includes the Rockinghorse collection. All pieces of jewellery can also be purchased online via their website poshtottydesigns.com. They have also recently branched in to London with the launch of a store in Islington. Congratulations to Posh Totty Designs for being shortlisted in the category of Best Independent Retailer at the Brighton & Hove Business Awards 2017!
