Pegasus proves a hit with fundraising

Brighton-based health communications consultancy Pegasus chose to support Rockinghorse as its Charity of the Year for 2016.

During that time, it raised £1,148.83 to support our work and help make life better for sick children in Sussex. Funds were raised via a number of fundraising initiatives throughout the year, including a ‘Great Brighton Bake Off’ sale, life-drawing classes, and a full turn out for our Dress Yourself as an Elf event!

Simon Hackett, Managing Director at Pegasus, said: “As a Brighton company, many of our staff members have family or friends that have been supported by the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and so we all felt very passionate about giving something back to Rockinghorse. We had so much fun raising the money throughout the year and feel very proud to have contributed to such a life-changing cause for so many families across Sussex.”

Analiese Doctrove, Head of Fundraising at Rockinghorse, visited Pegasus at its office in Church Street, Brighton, for an official cheque presentation. She said: “It’s thanks to the support of local businesses like Pegasus, that we are able to provide funding to continually improve paediatric healthcare in Sussex. The team’s determination to raise vital funds means that we have made a great start to our 50th year fundraising appeal.”

Rockinghorse celebrates its Golden Jubilee this year and has launched the Sussex Giving for Sussex Children appeal. We aim to raise £500,000 in 2017 to be split between 10 children’s centres and paediatric services in Sussex. To find out more about the projects being supported, please click here.
