Our website is a winner!

We won GOLD! The Rockinghorse website was awarded the top honour at the Sussex Digital Awards held in Pelham House, Lewes, last week (Thursday 13 April).

Hosted by former BBC broadcaster Robin Bailey, the awards recognised the online achievements of some of the most progressive organisations across Sussex.

Rockinghorse won Gold in the category for best Website: School, Education or Charity, having launched our fully responsive new site in November 2015, built by web designers Judd Associates (who have since merged with Lewes-based digital agency Michael Bell).

Rockinghorse PR and Communications Manager, Cheryl Piper, was joined by Michael Bell Operations Director, James Golding, to receive the award (pictured above). She said, “We are over the moon to have won this award. The website was created in preparation for our 50th year and we are so proud for it to have been recognised in this way.

“Visually it is fun, engaging, informative and easy to navigate. The site is also fully responsive so it can be accessed via a mobile phone or tablet. We’d like to thank the team from Judd Associates for their creative design and site build, which led us to win this award.”

2017 marks the charity’s Golden Jubilee and the launch of our 50th anniversary appeal; Sussex Giving for Sussex Children. Through this appeal, we aim to raise £500,000 this year to be split between 10 children’s centres and paediatric services.

Best-known for our work with the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, our 50th year appeal will support projects across the county to help them improve, refurbish and develop their environment for the young people benefiting from their work. Click here to find out more.

Our congratulations to all the other winners and finalists of the first annual Sussex Digital Awards.
