Gingerman Restaurant Group
The award-winning restaurant group launched a long-term partnership with us in 2011 and have raised funds through charity evenings and an on-going signature dish on their menus. Since 2011 they’ve raised over £60,000 which helped us build a dedicated Children’s Emergency Department at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton as well as funding a specialist pain distraction unit. They also continue to support Rockinghorse events, including our Mid Summer Ball, by donating exclusive money can’t buy auction items. Lloyds Banking Group
The banking group have been a fantastic supporter over the last four years, raising over £30,000 towards our work. They’ve held cake sales, pyjama days and pub quizzes as well as getting involved in Rockinghorse events such as our Dragon Boat Festival, and providing volunteers at many of our events. A Leading UK construction and regeneration group, operating in public and commercial sectors with a Brighton based office Morgan Sindall have been supporting Rockinghorse since 2014. Donating over £40,000 from their annual Chittick Challenge events Morgan Sindall have provided counselling for patients of the Oncology department at The Alex as well as attending Rockinghorse events including the Best of British sporting lunch. Riverstone Management Limited have worked with Rockinghorse for three years, in 2012 they donated £30,000 towards a portable distraction unit for use within the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital. In 2015 they were allocated £175,000 from sister company Fairfax Financial Holdings for charitable causes throughout the year. They chose to support a cause near to their Brighton office and donated £88,000 to help continue they work of Rockinghorse. Find out more about Riverstone by clicking here.
The Hove-based chartered financial planners have generously sponsored our annual charity Ball for the last eight years and have donated over £100,000 since 2007. Silver Rockinghorse partners
Each of these companies has raised over £10,000 for Rockinghorse, helping us to fund vital equipment and facilities for many projects. They are:
Brighton seafront Restaurant Alfresco raised over £14,000 for Rockinghorse in 2015. Events Manager Alexandra Lewis encouraged Alfresco customers to pay an extra £1 on their bill, raising over £9,000 altogether. Since then they have held a six course tasting menu in November, donating over £5,000. The funds they’ve raised have gone towards a new Sensory Room at the Alex in partnership with SEA LIFE Brighton and Merlin’s Magic Wand, as well as funding toy boxes for long term patients at the children’s hospital. Based in Brighton, chartered surveyors and property managers Austin Rees have supported us for over four years by getting involved in a number of fundraising events, including our Dress as an Elf campaign (of which they are headline sponsors) donating over £12,000. Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival
The much-loved local event has supported us for over five years now through their Children’s Food Festival initiative, held twice a year, as well as the annual Easter egg hunt and their fantastic wine-tasting evenings which have collectively raised thousands for Rockinghorse. Crown Office Row
The Brighton-based legal firm has supported us for a number of years via their annual charity beach volleyball tournament. Held at Yellowave on Madeira Drive, the event attracts 20 competing teams, all raising money for Rockinghorse. To date, the events have raised over £10,000. The bank has been supporting Rockinghorse for four years and have already donated over £10,000. As well as organising their own in-store charity events at their Brighton Western Road branch, Santander donated £5,000 from their Community Plus scheme, and are regular attendees of the Rockinghorse Dragon Boat race held at Brighton Marina. Southern Water held their 2015 annual charity race day at Fontwell Racecourse in aid of Rockinghorse and the Rainbow Centre, Fareham. A fantastic day was had by all and following a wonderful raffle and auction over £28,000 for the charities. Rockinghorse was delighted to receive a cheque for more than £14,000. Kleeneze have donated Christmas gifts to the children at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital since 2012. In total they have donated over £20,000 worth of gifts which help to bring a smile to the face of a sick child at Christmas.
Merlin’s Magic Wand
The charity Merlin’s Magic Wand supports seriously ill and disabled children by providing family days out, for those children who are not well enough to enjoy a day out they bring the magic to the children. Merlin’s Magic Wand worked with Brighton Sealife centre and Rockinghorse to provide a brand new sensory room for Level 10 of the Alex children’s hospital. The room is Sealife themed and really has bought a smile to the faces of many poorly patients and their families at the Alex.
