Our Brighton Marathon places have now sold out!

The Brighton Marathon proves to be a popular alternative to the London Marathon and with a field of 12,000 runners, this mainly flat course winds through the UK’s coolest city with stunning coastal views, live bands and thousands of spectators showing their support for the runners. Join the Rockinghorse team in 2017 and help us celebrate our 50th anniversary...

How will we support you?

We will provide you with an information pack full of useful ideas and training advice for running a marathon, supply you with Rockinghorse fundraising materials to help you reach and exceed your sponsorship target, plus a Rockinghorse running vest to wear on the day. There will also be cheering squads along the route to encourage you throughout your run and you’ll receive an invitation to our post-race reception close to the finish line.

How does the money you raise support us?

This year, our Brighton Marathon runners raised over £20,000 for sick children in Sussex. The money raised helped fund our ongoing projects at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital and the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton, as well as the Special Care Baby Unit in Haywards Heath.

How do I get involved?

Our places in the Brighton Marathon have now sold out, but you can still support us on the day. We’re looking for volunteers to join the team and help cheer our Rockinghorse runners across the finish line. To find out more, please contact our Events Fundraising Co-ordinator Hannah Seltzer on 01273 330044 or email hannah.seltzer@rockinghorse.org.uk. Places are still available for the Brighton Half Marathon, please click here to find out more.
