Rockinghorse has launched an appeal to encourage women to donate good quality party frocks they no longer wear in aid of the charity’s event, Brighton Frock.
The evening takes place at the Rockinghorse shop in Hove on Thursday 11 November from 6-8pm and guests will receive a free glass of bubbly while they rummage through the most stylish cast-offs in Brighton and Hove. All money raised on the night will go towards making life better for sick and disabled children in Sussex and Surrey.
During the evening, there will be a presentation on colour analysis and personal style, where shoppers can find out how buying clothes in the right colours and shapes to suit them will change the way they shop forever. Guests will also receive a voucher for 15% off at Dermot O’Leary’s restaurant, Fishy Fishy, so that they can enjoy a delicious meal after the event.
Presenter and reporter, Marcella Whittingdale, is an avid Rockinghorse supporter. She said: “Brighton Frock is going to be a really fun event and is a good excuse for a girly night out. Plus there’s the added bonus of picking up a new dress in time for the party season, with the money going to a great cause.”
Marcella will return this year to host Rockinghorse’s Circus Ball, which takes place on 20 November at Hilton Brighton Metropole.
To attend, please RSVP to laura.frier@rockinghorse.org.uk, on Facebook, or call 01273 730286. Guests can either bring their dresses on the evening or donate it in advance by dropping it into the shop at 73 George Street, Hove. To find out more about Rockinghorse, visit www.rockinghorse.org.uk.
