The Alex launches new website to re-define hospital experience

Parents preparing their child for an upcoming hospital visit can now tap into a brand new information resource provided by The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, Brighton. 

The new website includes a comprehensive guide to all the departments and the services offered at The Alex, profiles of doctors and key staff within the hospital and key practical information such as public transport details, visiting times and much more.

The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, affectionately known as “The Alex”, is a leading, state-of-the-art hospital for children and young people in Brighton, where patients from throughout the South East of England are treated.

Rosie Courtney, Operations Manager, Paediatrics and Neonatology said: “The aim of the new website is to answer the many questions parents may have in the run-up to the hospital appointment. It gives families an idea of what to expect upon their arrival.”

The online photo gallery will be a particularly popular section of the website.

Created by leading Lewes marketing agency, Sans Frontiere Marketing, the website recreates the unique and fun animal design scheme which is present throughout all areas of The Alex. The hospital is set out as a giant arc with each level representing a different habitat complete with its own animals.

Families also have the opportunity to share the stories of their childrens’ bravery and tenacity through their treatment, by contributing to the ‘tell us your story’ section. When nurses and doctors have gone the extra mile to provide exceptional care to a child, they can be given a special mention here.
