Sign up to Pedal in Preston Park and show your supportStaff at Tudor House, a residential home for children with disabilities, are getting on their wheelchair-accessible bike to raise money for charity at Pedal in Preston Park this weekend (Saturday 29 October).

The event will raise funds for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity and Motor Neurone Disease Association and will see participants jointly pedal 2,400 kilometres – the equivalent distance of the Tour de France route or 3,500 laps around Preston Park.

Staff from the respite centre will join other cyclists on the day to help complete the challenge, taking it in turns on Rockinghorse’s wheelchair-accessible bike that was donated to the young people who use the centre.

Clare Brunt, Practice Manager at Brighton & Hove City Council’s Tudor House, said: “It seemed apt to take part in an event that Rockinghorse will benefit from by using the accessible bike that has benefitted the children here. We’re really looking forward to Saturday and we hope lots of people will show up to support the cause and help local children.”

Tony Bloom, Chairman of Brighton & Hove Albion opened Rockinghorse’s £150,000 extension at the respite centre in Withdean in July this year. Read more here.
