Rockinghorse Chief Executive takes to the skies
Wednesday 31 March 2010
Chief
Executive of Rockinghorse Gavin Fisher joined other intrepid Rockinghorse
supporters to take part in the charity’s 13,000ft Big Jump Day at Headcorn
Airfield in Kent.
The children's charity carries out three of the tandem skydives a year to raise money for its valuable projects that make life better for sick and disabled children in Sussex.
Gavin explained why he decided to take part: “I’m often encouraging people to take part in these challenges and I’m always asked if I have done so myself – it was about time I could answer yes. Now I’ve done it, I want to jump again and I would encourage anyone who has ever thought about it to sign up for the next one in June, as it was simply amazing.”
A team of nine have already signed up for the June jump in which participants must raise £395 in sponsorship to dive for free. To sign up or to find out about taking part in a skydive or any of our other challenge events, call Emma Millar on 01273 730286.
