Staff and children at Early Years Childcare present a cheque to Analiese Doctrove from RockinghorseA small nursery chain in the South East, Early Years Childcare – which has nurseries in both Harington Road, Brighton and Dyke Road Avenue, Hove – has created a children’s recipe book which has helped raise money for Rockinghorse.

The wipe-clean booklet is filled with a selection of healthy and delicious recipes, all of which chefs at the nursery follow to ensure the children who visit have a well-balanced diet. Recipes include winter vegetable gratin, chicken enchiladas and beetroot and chocolate cake and all are illustrated by the children.

Kate Peach, Managing Director of Early Years Childcare, said: “We are delighted to be able to donate all of the profit made from the sale of our recipe books to a cause so close to our hearts. Rockinghorse does a fantastic job in improving the lives of children and families in challenging times”

The children’s cook book went on sale last summer and 50p from the sale of each of the books was donated to the charity that supports sick and disabled children in Sussex and Surrey. In total, £160 was raised through the sales.

Analiese Doctrove, Rockinghorse Community Fundraiser, said: “The recipe book is such a great idea! We’re really grateful to Early Years Childcare for choosing to support Rockinghorse, especially in such an imaginative way.”
