The Red Bed Co. logoBrand new Hove business, The Red Bed Company, has committed to supporting children and young people in hospitals across Brighton and Hove.

The company has signed up to become a Rockinghorse Corporate Champion and has pledged to raise £1,500 for the children’s charity by March 2011. Alongside supporting the cause that makes life better for sick children in Sussex, it will be offering discounts to all NHS staff from Brighton and Hove on their orthopaedic mattresses.

The Red Bed Company, which opened in March, is based in the heart of Hove’s Portland Road and offers a huge range of beds and mattresses at competitive rates.

The team is planning a glitzy launch party for the summer which will include fundraising for Rockinghorse and exclusive promotions on their stock.

Emma Harley-Jones, one of the founders and Manager of The Red Bed Company, said: “My teenage daughter Sophie has been in and out of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital since she was young and has a couple of big operations coming up. I think that the team there is fantastic and do a wonderful job day in, day out.

“I feel very strongly that a good night’s sleep can make all the difference to productivity and wellbeing and at the Red Bed Company we want our local NHS workers to have the best rest possible. Rockinghorse continues to do amazing work with the hospital so it was a no-brainer to choose to support them both in tandem.”
