Welcome

Welcome to Rockinghorse, the charity that makes life better for sick and disabled children in Sussex and Surrey.

"Rockinghorse has made a strong impact upon the experience of some of the most acutely unwell young people who receive care for mental health problems across Sussex." Nick Clark, Chalkhill Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit

Rockinghorse is an independent charity, which aims to make life better for sick and disabled children in Sussex and Surrey by ensuring medical facilities for children and young people are as cutting edge, comfortable, friendly and accessible as possible. Many of the children we support have complex disabilities, health issues or short life expectancies.  Their families and carers need our help too, which is why we now support respite centres across the region as well as hospitals.

There is much still to do in this area, and we need your help to continue to make a significant and positive impact on the lives of thousands of children and their families.

So whether you would like to donate money, volunteer your time or take part in one of our events, we do hope you’ll get involved.
