Welcome to Rockinghorse, the charity that makes life better for children in hospital.
Rockinghorse wants to make all children’s health facilities in Sussex child-friendly environments and believes that no child should be frightened to go into hospital. Specifically, we provide games, toys and televisions for children’s wards, we provide entertainers to go onto the wards and we will even redecorate wards to make them more welcoming and homely for the children to visit. Additionally, we provide cutting edge medical equipment that makes surgery less invasive, quicker or less painful.
Many of you will have seen coverage of the New Alex Fund, our appeal for the new Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital. The appeal was a great success and allowed us to provide hundreds of items for the hospital. We will continue to support children at the New Alex and we have also taken on some exciting new projects that will benefit even more of the children of Sussex.
